Recently, I was shocked to discover a magazine called "Prog Rock" at the local bookshoppe. It's actually a special issue of "Classic Rock" magazine, and is from the UK. Obviously, no American publisher in it's right mind would put out an issue all about prog rock. So I bought it in excitement, even though it was close to $10.
It has a huge section of the magazine devoted to the Canterbury Scene of the early 1970s. It's a genre of music I've always been interested in looking into but never got into it much because it was hard to find the albums. Soft Machine and Gong were about as far as it went for me.
Then I found this amazing mp3 blog:

It's called Canerbury Tales, and it's quite comprehesive. They stuff by heavyweights like Caravan, Egg, Hatfield And The North as well as a bunch of obscure bands I'm unfamilar with. I look forward to diving in, and I urge you to do the same.![]()
