Music Meridian

I'm fascinated with the website for the new book called "1000 Recordings To Hear Before You Die" by Tom Moon.

Tom is doing a book signing tour, and I plan to see him when he visits Cleveland next month.

I scanned through the full list that's available on the website:

I think I've heard about 300 of these recordings...I guess I have a long way to go! Obviously any "Best of" list is up for debate and this is no different (what? only one Zappa album on the list? And it's "Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life"?), but I am very interested in checking out many of the recordings that are recommended. It also is spurring my interest to re-examine albums and songs I haven't heard for a very long time.

It also inspires me to make music that would someday appear on a list of this nature.

Anyways, time to crank the stereo!!
